Lok Kalyan Sansthan is a non-government, non-profit, apolitical voluntary organisation based in Baitu, a tehsil (sub-district) in Barmer district, Rajasthan, India. LKS is committed to the recognition, promotion and protection of all human beings in the region. It draws its experience and collaborative relationships to address the underlying causes of poverty and social injustice by increasing participation in local governance, facilitating community services among marginalized groups, implementing policies and programs, confronting unequal power relations and discrimination.
LKS endeavours towards promoting and nurturing leadership in civil society institutions as well as building their accessibility to the basic support services like education, health, drinking water, etc., through arrays of development projects designed around social, economical and political empowerment program.
