Description
Secretary in the Ministry of Tribal Affairs Hrushikesh Panda expressed concern over migration of labourers and said the district administration has a greater role to play in checking it. There would be no dearth of funds for development of tribals and dalits, assured Panda during his visit to Nuapada district on Monday. Panda was here to review implementation of various projects under the Ministry. Addressing hundreds of construction workers under the banner of Pragatishila Shramika Mancha in the Block Office premises, Panda said people feel shy to work in local areas and hence migrate. It is always better to work in the villages rather than going outside, he said and stressed on generation of man-days in the villages itself.
